First, beginning class for Piano students.

The Gift of Making Music will change the life of a student forever

This level of piano tuition is suitable for all ages. We generally start lessons about the age of 5-6, but it all depends on the ability of the child to concentrate, follow directions and do some pretty basic tasks, like recognizing letters and counting to 4.

A unique program of instruction is developed for each student based on their learning style, abilities, the pace of progress and goals. In other words: we listen to what you have to say about your child or yourself and what you want to achieve, and we base our individual plan for you on all that we learned about your child.

We use readily available piano methods, but we always combine them with tailored technical and theory exercises custom created for each student by their teacher, sometimes on the spot. Everybody learns slightly differently, and although every student will achieve their maximum potential, their path will always be unique and different.

One of the most important components of our piano approach is the weight we put into practising at home. The help from parents, grandparents or whoever is tasked with making sure the child practises is invaluable. This is particularly useful for younger children but generally is preferable for all beginner students. Habits, which are formed at the beginning of piano learning, would remain for life. Breaking them, or changing bad habits, takes months and sometimes years and is very unpleasant for both the student and the teacher if it needs to be done later.
